Grades of ride
We recognise that not all riders have the ability or desire to wear a full face helmet and throw themselves off the highest, steepest mountains in Spain. So we break our riding into categories (almost like Skiing), Black, Red, Blue and Green trails.
Green (Easiest)
Avoids serious climbing with many of these rides around the wonderful lake itself. Again tracks are wide and friendly allowing novices (or those too tired to face another full on day) to take a more leisurely attitude to riding. Even guests who have never ridden before, master green runs quickly and want to move onto blues and reds before the end of the week.
Blue
Usually wider trails allowing 3-4 bikes across with no nasty surprises around the next corner. Perhaps more conducive to sightseeing as opposed to serious technical challenge. Climbing can still be tough and descents are usually fast due to wide, flowing surfaces.
Red
Again, high occurrence of single track and serious climbing but this time mixed with pleasant cross country trails too. Red riding is available through all sorts of terrain, including, sweeping olive groves (yes you can cycle between the trees), forest trails and again dramatic landscape found within the Subbetica National Park.
Black (Hardest)
Usually highly technical, steep single track found in the Subbetica National Park. Just getting down these trails requires a great deal of strength and stamina. To get yourself up and down is truly admirable but we do offer a minibus service where we drop you at the top and collect you at the bottom for another go - if you have the bottle to try again!
