The village of Cerro Macho lies in the rural foothills of Andalucía. There are 300 inhabitants, a bar, restaurant and a village shop all within 5 minute walk from the house. Further afield (15 minutes by taxi - provided by Joyriders) are Cabra, Montilla and Lucena. All have great local shopping facilities and offer a cosmopolitan feel with numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
If history, culture and architecture are your thing, these towns will impress, as will the beautiful cities of Cordoba, Granada and Seville, all available as day trips from our property.
For those with a passion for food and wine, the area is renowned for its Bodegas offering you the chance to taste their local produce. What could be better than having your own bodega next door! We will even organise an authentic Spanish evening with a visit around the Bodega Cabriñana (where you get to sample ample quantities of Fino) followed by Paella (and more Fino!) prepared by our very own Spanish chef!
Usually your week will end at the famous Los Palancos restaurant at Zuheros (frequently visited by David Beckham and Tom Cruise) where you can sample their renowned goats cheese salad and partridge pâté. Oh, and don’t forget the delicious Acorn fed suckling pig!
